Craig Crofton

Anglo - American Craig is a protege of Marcus Printup (Blue Note Records) and has played with Jazz greats like John Fattis, Herb Harris, Pee Wee Ellis and Delfayo Marsalis.

Craig's own band CCQ has opened the WorldJazz stage at the Glastonbury Festival for the last two years (1999 & 2000) and appeared on the Main stage at Ashton Court 2000.

Craig was featured on B.B.C. Radio 4 'Loose ends' in 1998 and has played at Ronnie Scott's (London). He is also known as a Session Sax player playing gigs from Bristol to New York.

Craig brings to the BLOWOUT SAX school an authenticity of an American jazzman and has the necessary characteristics of many of the U.S Sax jazz pioneers before him.

Craig teaches tenor and soprano saxophone. Craig also teaches Jazz degree students at Bath and Exeter University and teaches the grades to great success.

Listen to Craig's live rendition of Carla Bley's gospel tune 'The Lord is Listening To Ya, Hallelujah' or Craig's live recording of 'Sunny Day' - a compilation that became half of the world record piece"
